I gave the new song a listen without watching the music video and it gave me a very different vibe. I was able to pay attention to the complexity of the music, and definitely like it more than the first listen.
I am a fan of long songs that go places. 訪問者X doesn’t evolve as much as say, Macabre by Dir en Grey, but I do think it has a lot of merit.
Given that the two singles are so different, I think we’re in for a really wide range of tracks on this album. I’m predicting that there will be something for every kind of sukekiyo fan on this album.
Now I’m just wondering, how long will it take to arrive at my door…

What the hell? You need high IQ to “understand” a band? I have never heard such bollocks. Literally what band would limit their fanbase to “high IQ” people only? Like people who always say you have to be a musician to understand bands like Meshuggah and other djent, experimental or progressive music… utter nonsense. Its nothing to do with intelligence or how well you understand music. Its simply about what you vibe with, as a musician I hated Meshuggah for years, did eventually get into them but not because I finally “understood” their music but eventually just came around to vibinf with it and started to enjoy it. It’s no more complex than that, if a song doesnt vibe with some people but does with others its simply down to personal preference and nothing more.

Yeah that’s what Blacktooth’s post said - but every listing I’ve seen has had a vague August 2023 date. I’ve preordered the album and checked updates consistently. If they ever announced the 28th before today I missed it

Sukekiyo and their eternal wisdom governing decisions such as they’re not albums—they’re music & video compilations and no release dates ever just makes them way too easy of a target for derision. Would I go as far as calling them the Rick and Morty of vk?
