the GazettE has removed Aoi from the band

Thanks for the context. Seems that after the news article came out at 10am, the band is forced to say something (at 3pm) instead of pretending everything is fine and dandy.

Translation from his twitter statements :

“ Today, an announcement and articles about me were published on the GazettE official website and in a weekly magazine. However, this content contains a great deal of information that is inaccurate. I wish to apologize to all my supporters for the concern and inconvenience caused, and take this opportunity to set the record straight.

In April of last year, I informed the other GazettE members of my intention to leave the group at the end of September of that year, and I had already left GazettE by then. Therefore, my departure is not due to a disciplinary decision or expulsion.

Regarding the reasons for my departure, it is true that an announcement, which also included proposals from the other members, was published to avoid any misunderstanding with the fans and those who have supported us until now. However, in the publication on the GazettE website, certain elements were added unilaterally, differing from my understanding and what I had heard.

Until my departure, I always worked sincerely in the activities of the GazettE, and I never committed any act that could be considered immoral or fraudulent behavior within the group’s activities. Nor did I act in any way that betrayed or damaged the honor of the management company.

Furthermore, the “requests for money” mentioned in the GazettE press release and in the weekly article concern financial transactions with a person with whom I had a private relationship at the time, and are not related to fraudulent activities aimed at obtaining money. Therefore, there is nothing illegal or inappropriate about them.

” First, feeling it was necessary to share the facts with those who continue to support me during this confusing situation, I chose to offer this explanation in this way.

I sincerely apologize to the fans and everyone affected for the resulting concern. “

“ The five of us who met while pursuing our dreams have journeyed together for 23 years with the same feelings in our hearts. For me, it has been an irreplaceable time, and the memories will never fade.

I sincerely thank RUKI, Uruha, and REITA, who invited me in 2001 with flowers, as well as Kai, who joined us later.

We began our activities in 2002, and I am convinced that everything that has happened during these 23 years could only have been accomplished because of the five of us.

Joy, hardship, sadness, and emotion—we were able to overcome and share it all because we met. Thanks to that, we were able to transform those moments into even more beautiful ones.

I cherish all the experiences we have shared so far, as well as the time we have spent together. Thank you for walking alongside me this far.

I also want to express my deep gratitude to everyone who has supported us, to the agency members who have helped us grow, and to the staff who have shared the music with us.

And to you, the fans.

It is thanks to you that we have been able to continue to see this landscape.
Thank you for these truly wonderful, dreamlike moments.

And thank you for finding us. “

Feels really weird to see this in their website…

Really unfortunate to see the band going out like this…Reita was one thing (and ultimately out of their control), but this is just completely different.

why my favourite band suddenly became 3 members this year…

My current conjecture:

Reita’s passing was tough. They decided to continue regardless, but the workload distribution got out of wack. Aoi percieved he was doing more and asked for more money. He negociated poorly and interfere with the bands activities and progress to pressure them. Then he was removed from the band.

He may also be asking women for money, but I don’t know, I have a hard time thinking they mismanaged their finances badly.

I don’t have much to add that hasn’t already been said so let me quote the relevant people:

Yo the pettiness of that account lol Talk about candid photos!

I guess Reita really did keep the members together. It makes me wonder if Reita were around would have he allowed this?

In my opinion don’t think so but we are unfortunately in the now and whatever event happened affected aoi in some way.

There has to be a deeper part of the story. What I find weird is in 2025 at the time one of the members mentioned someone was trying to disband the gazette but the way it was worded made it seem like some external party was doing this. If statement was related to internal issues makes me wonder what internal dispute had happened. It must have been really bad since aoi is now out of the band. My brain really wants to know but I know I won’t get the answers.

That was Kai in the beginning of December and it’s most likely been about all this.
Aoi said he wanted to be out by the end of September and I figure the money he requested from the company (which in his opinion was fair) wasn’t granted and then things escalated.
From his statement things sound to me that they do make sense, depending on everyone’s point of view. And of course based on what got said is true. To which extent we don’t know and very likely never will know.

In the end it cost them a friendship, not just what happened to the band and I deeply feel for any of them. I hope they can rest, heal and maybe at some point find a way together. Not necessarily as a band, I’m not sure, if this will ever be possible. But as acquaintances, maybe even friends.

No I’m with you. When I think of Reita and Aoi, I see their smiling faces as they goof off with the other members, and I don’t usually care about bandmen like that. I already half figured they weren’t coming back from Reita’s passing, but I at least thought they’d remain on good terms. Really sad that they couldn’t.

He’s already around fifty years old, but what was his status as a worker? Was he a full-time employee or self-employed? Do BIG MUSICIANS pay into the pension system? Will he receive a pension? God, what strange questions I find myself worrying about.

I agree 100% I hope the band can heal properly from what they lost. :folded_hands::cry:

This is wild! So many things to speculate on! I’ll add to the baseless speculation:

When it comes to the band member’s compensation, their salaries, I wonder how that was split and what happened when Reita passed away. Was Reita’s salary divided between the remaining members? Was it equal shares? Were there internal fights over how to split the money?

At the end of the day, I blame AI for this.

This is really unfortunate. I remember the interview where Aoi or one of the other fellas mentioned that he almost left, during or before the DOGMA era.

I figured whatever was going on was squashed. DOGMA, the string of FC lives, and NINTH showed me a re-engerzied GazettE.

Seems to me like Reita might’ve been what was keeping him tethered to the band.

If this is the best way forward In wake of Reita’s passing, fine. Im still not happy about it.

jesus christ this is some crazy ass news to wake up to

What a way to go out. It would’ve been so much better to just do a last tour and end the band on a high note… Those 3 could start again under a new name, everyone would understand that sometimes that’s just what’s needed…Everyone would tag along just fine. They could even rename The Winter to Freezing Cold or something and still release it, lol

I feel similarly. The loss of reita has been devastating for the band, and to be honest, i never personally expected them to recover from it.

of course i don’t know the guy, but i wish aoi the best going forward. i hope he stays safe and is able to take care of himself.
