Some guy just announced on social media that he would bring Charlotte and hime ichigo to Brazil and he even contacted their label himself, so both the fans and the bands were super pumped to see it happen, but they never received the payments and whatever other stuff they needed to come here, because the dude disappeared. To this day I wonder why he picked these bands instead of some other more famous artists, but anyway, there was a huge commotion, because lots of media outlets were announcing this gig, which would be the very first time Japanese musicians would play in Brazil (Bear in Mind Brazil is the country with the biggest amount of Japanese people outside of Japan itself) and a lot of media was produced to promote the events. Eventually some other company saw the potential and brought Charlotte themselves, but Hime Ichigo never came. Overall the events were a success (there was a show in rio and another in São Paulo, which is why they released 2 DVDs) and it was the first of many other gigs involving Japanese bands here, but as far as I know, Brazilian producers have a bad reputation in Japan to this day because of that.

JUNJI from Acid Black Cherry/T.M.Revolution/BULL ZEICHEN 88/SIAM SHADE/Sengoku Jidai-The age of civil wars- acted as one of the main characters in a 2016 horror movie called Toilet no Hanako-san Shinsho: Hanako vs Yosuke (トイレの花子さん新章 〜花子VSヨースケ〜). In it, he even has a band, altough not a VK act. So far this is his only acting effort. In the pic above he’s posing with the film’s main actress holding a copy of the movie’s DVD.

Last year xaa-xaa released this augmented reality app in which you could scan some merch of theirs and then it would transform into a picture on your phone which you could use to insert yourself in and it would look like you took a picture with them
Their drummer also participated in a segment in the same YT channel in which he and the host reviwed some anime goods

Former Saruin drummer got this Youtube channel in which he talks about how much VK bandmen that left the scene changed as the years go by. I.E. he went bald
and former Secilia Luna guitarrist put on 48KG!
Wish there was more content like this on the interwebs. Nice to see them making fun of it, because I’d be traumatazed

I’ve already mentioned some posts above the shitload of VK bands that provided songs for the Yu-Gi-Oh franchise, Plastic Tree included.
I didn’t know about Color x Malice, though, and it turns out that they’ve provided 5 songs for its soundtrack, both in the Switch and PS Vita versions:

Back in 2020 former OZ frontman Natsuki appeared on TV. He’s now a farmer and an avocado specialist

Speaking of professions, both the vocalist and the drummer for Psycho le Cému are fitness instructors, and they apparently work at the same gym
I’ve also found this interview with former Moran/Sugar guitarist Sizna, IMO one of the very best guitarists in the scene ever, who said that he quit because VK isn’t profitable even after the band went major. He’s now an investor.
Hisashi Okumura (real name: Yuji Okumura) ,ex. Apress Ecole, now works for people with disabilities
Former VelBet drummer, Natsuka, is now a businessman. He often times performs with some session bands, tough
former GURUGURU Eigakan drummer Kazutomo Maeda (前田 一知) is now a comedian

Have you heard of FlyME project? It’s a collaboration between V-kei and popular male voice actors, similar to Magatsu Note. It has songs composed by Ayame (Matenrou Opera),Kei (DIAURA), Aiji (LM.C), Hiroto (Alice Nine) & Sakito (NIGHTMARE). It lasted from 2015 to 2018

Last year Yomi, Sakito & Hitsugi from Naitomea provided some voice acting for the anime The Last Summoner. The theme song was also by NIGHTMARE with the track “With”
To promote it they held a contest on Twitter and one of the prizes was a drawing of the band with some of the anime’s characters. It was signed by the band themselves

A pachinko game called P Shin Hokuto Musou Chapter 4 is out today on Sammy arcade machines, for which HYDE made a song titled 「TAKING THEM DOWN」.

idk tbh, misa has been bald his entire career and he’s 100 % vk.
I’m not sure what happened to these guys, but they look like they kinda just gave up (chubby one looks better now tho… tbh… if it worked out for shinya yamada, fattie could probably stay in the scene too)
