What video games are you playing?

still making my way through expedition 33, and then I picked up graveyard keeper on steam. I’ve been eyeing this one up for years now, it’s a farming sim, except the unique selling point is a graveyard instead of vegetable patch (even though farming is still available).

I thought this would be a simple cozy game, but there’s a skill tree, and so many side quests and NPC behaviour and many other aspects which the game doesn’t explain at all. It was overwhelming, I got stuck for days (in game time), and almost gave up until I watched a few of the “guide for noobs" out there. Man, anyone would fail at this game if they didn’t read into it.

Now I’m enjoying the progression and all its unique aspects, like manning the church and gathering prayer points, the different crafting materials, alchemy, improving my corpses and so on.

I’ve gone back to try and finish up Ishin! This year. I keep getting distracted by the completion list, as per usual, but I just can’t stay on task in this game

What’s the likelihood Square give GACKT a dump truck of money to reprise his role in the finale of the FFVII remake trilogy?

square will do anything except invest proper money in ff14, i wouldn’t doubt it :joy:

I recently started playing Cuphead. A few years too late, but better late then never I guess. So far it’s very much my cup of tea. It’s hard, but it always feels fair, is visually beautiful and topped off by a brilliant soundtrack. And the game play is just so much fun.

I really enjoy the difficulty level too. It’s hard enough that I struggle and leave it for a week or two, but them get right back into it and nail whatever I struggled with previously. That’s just perfect! Reminds me of the old days with lots of NES and SNES games I grew up with where the difficulty levels was just perfect. Love a game that makes me struggle a bit without helping me or telling me what to do, but which you at the same time know you’ll nail sooner or later. Lovely!

After finding Red Dead Redemption painfully boring, I’ve restarted RDR2 for the first time in years. It’s like getting into a nice, warm bath. Such an immersive and weirdly comforting experience so far!

I also have Silent Hill 2 (PS2), As Dusk Falls, and Dead Reset on the go. I’ve been padding out my PS4/5 collection with games I’d previously rented and enjoyed, so replays of games like Horizon Zero Dawn, God of War, and Days Gone are coming up. Exciting!

RDR2 easily has one of the best storyline. Characters developments were well established that rlly hit u hard at the final phase of the game. They shld rlly make a movie out of it

Simply my GOTY 2025

Currently on a 30-win streak and counting against ED Darkdrift Knight with randoms. If I’m defeated, I’ll go back to fighting Dreglord which is also my fav boss fight.

Finally diving into Silent Hill F. So far I’m loving it. The creepy atmosphere is so good. They waste no time getting straight into the story and spooks. And the sound design is immaculate.

I also really like the monster designs so far. The main mannequins are great. Pretty unsettling and their movements are somewhat unpredictable. The more humanoid monsters are a bit generic, but do call back to some past designs like the giant cancer monster from Silent Hill 3.

Silent Hill fans eating good lately.

Fire Emblem Engage is peak gameplay in between ~20-30 minute stretches of pure time wasting. Very uneven game. It’ll probably be a good one to replay since I won’t feel bad about skipping literally everything.

I’m loving it so far. The cinematography too is excellent. The puzzles are pretty good too I think. Some of them required me to think beyond the obvious a bit.

Ive been playing a lot of BioShock and Punishing Grey Raven as of late. I used to play Let It Die, but I got upset and uninstalled it. I’ve been trying to play through Silent Hill Homecoming, but I keep getting lost.

I’ve been playing Fallout 4 for the first time recently. I’d only ever played 3 and New Vegas before. Wasn’t expecting the whole Sim City-like settlement system thing. It’s kind of fun to play around with, and I like the idea that you can kind of set up your own custom base in each area, but it’s frustrating trying to make objects line up properly. The companions being so easy to recruit makes them feel a bit less special as well, if I’m being honest. I was kind of shocked by how early you get both Dogmeat and Preston. Felt like you had to struggle on your own much longer in the other games I played.
