It’s a Japanese dress up+gacha+tamagotchi+social game
I do have issues with the game, and that is the company keep changing game systems which pretty much confuses old players like me ( Eg: changing “get started” features to newbies, removing old features, changing mascots )
And also they’re only language available is Japanese so I do have to machine translate every single options and features which is kinda hard to get used to lol
Once Upon a Katamari has the worst crash sound in the series by a longshot and I’m not loving the hub world, but it is Katamari. The levels are fun and they do a good job incentivizing multiple plays. It looks quite good while retaining the series aesthetic, and the music is good - maybe not great, but I’ll have to live with it a while longer. There’s also plenty I haven’t heard yet.
I don’t think it’s the best Katamari game, but I’m having fun with it and will continue supporting the series. I’ll always want more Katamari.
After not playing it for a long time, I’m diving head first into Alien: Isolation again. I nearly forgot how intense that game is, especially on nightmare difficulty. This is probably the greatest use of enemy AI (besides F.E.A.R.) in gaming ever! And the graphics still hold up. Can’t wait for the sequel!
I’m playing Ninja Gaiden master collection before NG4. Competed sigma and just started sigma 2. Ryu Hayabusa has always been my fav game character since my teenage years but never got a chance to play the series because I was too poor to afford a Xbox console. Now that I can afford and NG4 just launched, I’m gg to complete the series. It’s quite a difficult game but easier to overcome than Elden ring
Currently obsessed with Clair Obscur. After you figure out the combat main interactions, the game gets a little too easy, which is a bit of a bummer, but EVERYTHING else is superb. The cast, the plot, locations, the systems… Everything I wanted modern final fantasies to be. GOTY material along with Silksong.
Participated in this weekend’s “Global Test Ride” for the upcoming Kirby Air Riders on NS2. I put a ton of hours into the original GameCube title, so the gameplay here felt very familiar…for the most part. City Trial online was fun but almost nauseating; in fact, the whole game just felt too fast and arcade-like. It was fun, but I almost felt like I had to have my brain firing on all cylinders to play effectively.
