I can recommend Hello Kitty Island Adventure (hear me out about this one!) to anyone who needs something similar to Animal Crossing in their lifes right now.
I’m not a Sanrio Fan (aside from the fantastic Retsuko character), but this game is really good. There is a lot to do and to explore, but it never stresses or overwhelms you with tasks or possibilities.
Here is a review from my favourite site regarding Nintendo News/Reviews/etc.:
Just googled that game, seems it’s only available on Steam.
I only play on Nintendo consoles/handhelds. I used to have other consoles back in the day, but I realized that I just don’t have enough time for multiple platform gaming
I keep going back and forth between Depth 2 and 3 in Nightreign. The difficulty is one thing, but my real enemies for ranking higher are my own teammates most of the time when playing with randoms. And the penalty for losing is pretty brutal. I can’t win consecutively.
IMO, Nightreign’s difficulty is real challenging even in a normal mode. Some Souls-like games convince the player to think that they’re playing a challenging game while it’s actually not. Nightreign is different. It doesn’t care about how many thousand hours you have played the main game. The difficulty is brutal af especially in Deep of Night mode where most enemies can one shot you and your teammates. Even Ongbal said that higher depths aren’t enjoyable anymore.
Depth 3 is still reasonably challenging and is quite stressful when playing, but Depth 4 and 5 are likely for those who like torturing themselves.
575 hours in Nightreign. Currently mainly playing Ironeye in Deep of Night mode. Several wins needed to reach Depth 4.
Random teammates in Depth 3 are significantly more skilled than in Depth 2, and they’re very supportive. I’m already familiar with the difficulty in Depth 3. When I go back to playing a normal mode, it feels much easier. Hopefully, I will reach Depth 4 soon. The difficulty must be way more brutal, but it’s exciting to play with way more skilled players too.
I’d like to play as Revenant in Deep of Night, but I can’t. She is physically too weak, and her Pokemons last only a few seconds after being summoned and getting hit.
Edit: Hell, yeah! Just reached Depth 4 for the first time. With great teammates, I can finally win consecutively.
i always think about going back to genshin, but the misery of farming every day for every week or i couldn’t upgrade a weapon drove me insane. i got itto to c4 and then left without going back. my account just got deleted so welp
My first win in Depth 4 against Gladius. The difficulty is significantly harder than Depth 3 where most of the enemies can one shot you. I’ll need to familiarize myself with it if I want to reach Depth 5. It’s insane and challenging, but a win is very satisfying.
Anyway, most of the teammates I have played with recently are noticeably highly-skilled regardless of winning or losing. No doubt that Depth 5 is full of Souls veterans. Hopefully, I’ll make it there to play with them and learn from them.
I barely farm Sigils from Everdark bosses since Deep of Night was out. But you’ll get 2x Sigils or so than usual if you beat an Everdark boss in Deep of Night.
Another win in Depth 4 against the last boss with 3 Ironeyes. They’re highly-skilled players and know what to do. Insane difficulty but it’s super fun to play with veterans.
Silent Hill f. Loving the vibes so far and intrigued to see where the story goes. The music and sound design are standout components; Akira Yamaoka crushed it again!
Working through Silent Hill F, nearing the end, everything is great but I’d really recommend playing on Story, Hard mode isnt too difficult but I’d rather not be playing dark souls lite in my survival horror
Playing Hades 2 and I’m really loving it. The story and vibes are weaker than the original, but it’s distinctly different, which I really respect from a writing point of view. It would’ve been easy to just do Hades again, but they committed to doing something that feels very different. It’s not like the narrative and characters are bad either! Not at all. Hades just set a really high bar.
Gameplay-wise though? It absolutely, unambiguously bangs. It’s been hard to pull myself away.
It’s a Japanese dress up+tamagotchi+social game
I do have issues with the game, and that is the company keep changing game systems which pretty much confuses old players like me ( Eg: changing “get started” features to newbies, removing old features, changing mascots )
And also they’re only language available is Japanese so I do have to machine translate every single options and features which is kinda hard to get used to it lol
