I have no idea. looking at the video of the incident seems there is way more Yoshiki’s fans than wine world enthusiasts.Visual artists or designers (as for this case, Yoshimoto Nara is one) doing this kind of collabs are common for indie drinks brands like soft drinks and small beer makers but unusual for wines, so who knows.as a fellow user said previously, Yoshiki has been interested in wine for quite a lot time, enough to know what he’s doing, regardless if the wine is good or not.
On the other hand, I don’t know if there is a sommelier in the community who can give us more insight into the subject, beyond speculation.

Bi-ray appeared on the breakfast show of the <EVENING / BREAKFAST with YOSHIKI 2025 in TOKYO JAPAN KURENAI> event held at the Grand Hyatt in Minato Ward, Tokyo on August 30th, and debuted their new song, “Your Jealousy.” Following their debut song, YOSHIKI also wrote, composed, and produced the song. It’s a pop and glamorous dance number, and conveys the message, “Don’t be afraid of jealousy, embrace it as proof of your brilliance.”

In 10 years he will have nothing released an be working on 6 albums: classical, EDM, Rock, Death Metal, Polka and Kids version of Blue Blood

Now that I read it again, surprisingly he seems to be against the usage of AI? The quote doesn’t really say much. Maybe he considers the usage of AI as part of the creative process. Not sure.
EDM album = the Violet UK album in the works since 1998
Rock album = the X Japan album in the works since 2008
Classical album = Yoshiki Classical 2, alluded to as “upcoming” in this Youtube clip from 2021.
