I’m so disappointed in the video considering the song sample to me already sounds like one of their best singles in like a decade :(((((

Do you think its the chorus in the preview or the buildup for it?
It doesnt really blow you away, but you relly get the feeling you wanna listen to the whole thing asap.

You know, this makes a lot of sense.

Sometimes you eat way too much spicy food that it really does feel like there’s a devil in you. But here Dir en grey proposes the solution to such an existence of human pain: Pepto Bismol.

But once again I am just flabbergasted by their decision to make a fifteen second song. What do they think they are, a grindcore band?

Personally, I’m just glad we got the most CUNTY Toshiya in a while

grafik

there is a word missing here, right? “all that is left of my pathetic life”

also, I’m fairly certain this is their first ever release with lyrics on the cover
and the first single since 2018’s Ningen o kaburu with the band members on the cover

Do you seriously think its a metaphore for explosive diarreah?

Btw am I alone to think this is one of Kyo’s worst looks ever? I also mentioned it earlier, sry. I truly find it terrible… the death clown clown makeup, the flapping stockings on the head and those glasses… oh my.

This is the first time since… fuck, I don’t know… that I’ve been surprised by a teaser for a DEG single. It actually doesn’t remind me of anything they’ve done so far.

Love the album covers, the song sounds decent from what I can tell, but…

The music video looks like some demon drink gallons of pepto bismol and shit all over a room for years. This AI garbage is ugly as sin and needs to be eradicated.

I’m reluctantly allowing myself to feel excited for this. The teaser was useless as per usual, but I did like what was there!

  1. With a name like this I was expecting something dumb. However, I’m intrigued by this teaser. Two different vocal tracks overlapping each other ain’t new (Ash 2018 ver. comes to my mind), but I do like how here there’s Angelic Kyo and Devil/angry rapper Kyo singing together.
Also, I’m 90% sure it’s a chorus. Almost every MV teaser since at least Lotus includes a chorus (even Perfume of Sins, which has that black metal part instead of a chorus).
1.5) Yep, Kyo looks like some angry rapper and I love this look.
  2. I don’t have that much expertise in AI, so I’ll skip this part. Apart from “Kinda curious what the hell we’ll get with it”. What I DO not like are those blurs during Shinya & band scenes. Seems unnecessary. Also, Kyo being zoomed-in & greenscreened at the end looks awful.
  3. The cover art & band pic look pretty stylish, can’t deny that.
3.5) Nice for them to finally embrace OIRish Heritage.
  4. Also. We had a completely white MV (Ningen wo Kaburu), the one where the band is in almost complete darkness (TWOM). So yeah, let’s go with pink this time.

having regrets over pausing that teaser scene by scene:

I can understand deviloof not giving a shit about anything but superficial shock-value clownery on a budget, but i hope those grillz haunt the video director in his worst nightmares

the best part of that snippet is probably the glowing cube and the opening room (which is drowned in maxxed out bokeh because the remaining crisp details look so low-effort and shitty)
