H.U.G new album "HELIOS" release

I get that. Yeah, I think overall theres just 2 or 3 tracks that stood out to me. I’ll give it another listen before I decide tho.
Honestly I love hearing Ryo’s voice in anything, but 9goats, Gullet, and Keel are my favorite Ryo projects.

when they started shifting their heads into the fourth dimension I lost it and stopped looking at the screen.
We’re like 2 seconds in.

it really frustrates me:
Artists and musician sit basically in the same boat
Why are musicians constantly trying to use AI for lazily implementing lyric videos and album covers.

I really miss the days where the singer from Zig Zag made by his own hands and passsion animations for a lyric video.

Many bands embrace AI without questioning it. They use it for lazy reasons to create contents. I wish more artists could understand the danger behind it, and create things that could make people question themselves, the world they live in.

I think you’re taking it too seriously. Doesn’t it cross your minds that artists and musicians are testing or seeing new possibilities with AI?

I think it’s quite relative to see the public’s reception of bands that use AI in their work. I agree with fans feedback, but I see a very negative extremism about it.

There’s no getting away from AI and this is a trend that will continue for years to come. Polishing all this will take time, maybe in a while no one will use AI in their work or in everything. In a world where artists earn pennies on the dollar for every track played on Spotify, we fans can’t demand too much from them.

’ negative extremism ', ’ There’s no getting away from AI and this is a trend that will continue for years to come. ’

Yes I take art and this topic ’ seriously ’ as you said, and I don’t see any problem about it.

From what you said, because that’s a ’ trend ', so we should accept it, and of course, never give any kind of little criticism. The problem is also there, if you dare to give a little criticism, you are being a ’ negative extremist '.

Humans created A.I, and A.I is replacing humans in every field. Millions of people are losing their jobs day by day. And we are gonna watch/listen to an ‘art’ (I don’t call this art anymore) created by robots.

What a lovely trend.

What i see everywhere this extremist against AI. Its totally right think about the risk in a close future, but we can change i guess.

About the replacing humans is a real and scare true also. But before AI… “to be artist and create own art” never was easy, no one give a real value and so on. What change with AI(?), its just a new tool that need be use carefully. But we are not doing that, just use this without think about and now we are with this dilemma.

Credits to industrial revolution in our modern system “capitalism” to get the max profit ever without care to the people. its sad, but we create this too and we know the consequences :frowning:

we had a total of one professionally done CG art cover done by a visual kei band, which was screw’s major label hiring Ryosuke Aiba for their psycho monsters cover:

I can’t think of any one else commissioning CG art on the same level - while there’s always some nice art-direction and photography clearly custom-created for the releases by all grades of artists, major and indie, but in regards to AI art, I find it outright in poor taste to see how many bands have immediately jumped on the bandwagon.

a CD cover illustration from a Japanese artist can start at $ several hundred, and while I can excuse an indie, no-label contract band, or someone very budget funded like Kaya opt out for a bunch of midjourney renders, it’s always a tsk-tsk kind of thing.

is it better than going for this type of naïvé-kei?

sure, it visually looks better, at the cost of hoarding and remixing art from creative people, typically overworked and underpaid, who have not consented to this type of use of their work.

Ah yes, AI art in general may be some people’s reason of crying, but Reason of crying is my reason of crying.

EXACTLY!!!

Whoever that artist is, I hope they’ve improved in the 16 years since they first learned to draw (somewhat) dynamic poses.

The CD covers illustration made by real human is really great. I love it.

We know how much is satisfying to see the dedication of the creators and designers. But as we know too, less costs and more profit to the labels is worth. Its the same case why japan dont like “streaming” instead to buy a physical CD.

Its a trend that isnt in our control unfortunately.

btw i love the art from Doroinu (GEKIDAN INU CURRY) from plastic tree singles.

What is extremism about it?!?
I don’t write dead threats to musicians who use AI for their album covers or anything.
me complaining about AI art and blocking on social media sites “AI Artists” is the only thing I currently do to cope with the grief I feel of how it pretty much killed a passionate lovely community by Elon Musk dick riders who only thinking about cheap bucks.

I support financially and commision passionate artists and just hope todays musicians would feel a pride for it too.

I even still listen to The thirteen even with their abtrocious recent AI album cover

(Please don’t use terms like extremism so mundane being against AI art doesn’t make me instantly an extremist at best it is enough to put me into a political direction regarding the topic)

I think artists are allowed to try out whatever they want and folks are allowed to dislike it. Keeping in mind that things only become/remain a trend if people make the choice to participate in them.
Apologies if my initial comment took this thread off topic. I do like the song, and think it’s the best one on their album.

Don’t feel guilt. it is fine.
The one way or the other this discussion would have happened because I simply can’t keep silent when it is about AI generations haha.

I have this in my mind as well. i respect a lot when the artist try something that could be bad to me or another fan. But we cant force them stop. Soo let them try

the extremism I’m talking about is how everyone/everywhere on the internet sees AI as a danger, or something not cool for the near future because of its power to replace what human beings do.

About music, I already see a lot of negativity because A/B artists have started using AI in their work. I just think that to be a true fan is to support the artist even in the shit they do. But each person has a different view of being a fan.

I don’t think this discussion is appropriate here anymore, waiting for someone to create a related topic.

I can write any word as long as I’m not addressing/attacking a person. Everyone interprets it as they wish. But I feel a great extremism about AI, so I write that word because it’s what I understand and feel. I think this should be respect.

Please proceed talking about the band and their release.
We cannot stop bands from using AI art, for whatever reason they may use it.
And if it is good or bad to use it, is up to each person their own.
