Is Yoshiatsu being irresponsible with his fans?

I don’t have enough time to read this whole thread and screenshots. Is it confirmed that he actually did it?

He said he gave access to his DMs and so on to the agency, and shortly after this the bands went on hiatus / disbanded

We’d never get a spelled out “hi yeah it’s true I groomed a teenager with mental health issues” statement. Read the member/band statements at least, they seem pretty damning.

Just glad that things were looked into appropriately. I, myself, do believe that there was no grooming because of the mental state and the wattpad delivery of it all. (dislike that opinion, it’s just how it feels to me. we’re allowed to disagree.) There are defintely affected parties that need help and I do feel bad for the members of bands involved. But at least there seems to be responsibility taken and lessons learned. I think it’s also just a matter of different generations of vk fans and artists having different perceptions and overseas stuff along with online interactions are just a muddy area in general. Just be careful who and how you talk to people because of the implications.

This is almost certainly just a weird place my brain has decided to go to because these past days have completely drained my emotional capacity, but imagine being the Killing Daze/management employee who drew the short straw and had to go through his DMs. Even if he was just being a fuckboy with no boundaries towards 18+ fans and nothing else, that sounds like a shitty job.

Probably a decent amount of clown porn…or more accurately, an indecent amount.

Burh, some girl comes forward with screenshots about an other girl and claims Yoshiatsu is a pdf, turns out to be false, and people are still up in pitchforks and act like he’s the devil incarnate until they cancel him… This is crazier than anything he did.

I don’t know why I even bother to engage with people like you, but do you seriously think the agency would’ve responded like this, or even more so the band members’ comments been like this, if there had been nothing that happened? That they just, I don’t know, enjoy losing their band?

It he had done nothing wrong but just retired out of the shame, his band members would not have spoken about broken trust and how disappointed they were in his actions. *He* would not have apologised for breaking boundaries.

I have to assume you’re just trolling, but just in case…

C’mon, these are the typical press releases from japanese bands/artists. We get the same treatment when one of the members gets caught smoking weed. That’s not really proof of guilt.

On the other hand, given the mess the recent developments are causing, there are surely many, many more (and he may have delete a part of it too…)

But if Yosh is being cancelled for being an immoral (but legal) dickman, then clearly none of this is justified.

I used to talk with him on instagram sometimes. Just random stuff, sometimes wholesome. Mostly jokes about food and how he can’t cook for shit and then he asked me how my family was doing with the California fires. Nothing inappropriate.

Then, about 6-8 months ago, he started posting tons of stories about a clown makeup fetish, reposting photos of girls wearing clown makeup who were clearly teenagers/high school students and I thought “This shit is getting weird”. And he started posting these long, drawn out, ridiculous, parasocial and narcissistic rants. I stopped talking to him. Then he started posting stories asking people to not ignore him and talk to him, etc. And I thought “I bet I’m one of many people who has stopped talking to him!”

The guy is fucking weird, I’m sorry. This is not normal behavior for an adult his age. I’m an educator, and some teachers should not be teachers. They develop weird, overly emotional relationships with their teenage students, oversharing their feelings and personal life, wanting emotional connection and validation from kids. And it’s not ok. These teachers are the same ones who end up getting popped years later for grooming and much worse behaviors.

So I saw the signs with him on his social media and I was disgusted. Different face, country, accent, whatever. Same bullshit. I wish I was surprised. I hope every young person who was being groomed by him gets help and (real, healthy) love.

It reminds me of Kyuho. That guy can come across as kind of a dick and a snob, sometimes. But he is intelligent and makes some great points. These men are not therapists, they don’t owe fans relationships of any kind. And if they’re doing that a lot, then something is probably wrong.

The phrasing is completely different if they don’t admit to wrongdoing or think it matters. “Because of the complications that have been caused to the band and my fans by the incident I have chosen to leave the band” or somesuch. There is nuance to this. Even more so to the members comments, those are incredibly telling.

You might not think smoking weed is a big deal, but it really is considered bad over there, so that’s not really a useful point to your argument.

“Getting caught smoking weed” is quite literally proof of guilt of having smoked weed, even if you (or I, for what it’s worth) don’t think it’s serious. Analogously, he’s been caught doing something with his fans, and whatever the extent of that is, which I’m sure will not be made public, even the things we do know indicate that I’d personally find it quite serious, and evidently so do his management and a sufficient amount of his band members.

This is not appropiate behavior, no matter if it was wholesome or kind. There’s a line profesional entertainers should not cross. And despite not grooming happening I suspect there may be ulterior motives to this. It’s not normal.

Yeah, it sounds hugely questionable. Also I had no idea the clown stuff was that… blatant and consistent? Like I’d heard he had asked for clown photos and so on, but I don’t follow his story or anything and thought it was just some random thing he said a few times…

To emphasise: I promise I do not kink shame anyone with a thing for clowns, it’s the whole aspect of involving fans, especially ones who are underage, otherwise vulnerable, or unaware of the implications, in it.

And rest assured, that this is only ONE CASE which went public. Most cases of SA and abuse never go public.

This is only the tip of the ice berg.

A Japanese fan who speaks English has been in contact with a mother and daughter in Japan, who say that the daughter has been in contact with Yoshiatsu. She was 13 at the time, and the messages get quite creepy.

Last two messages are between the OP and the mother.

nevermind, keeping thoughts and such to myself. apologies if my previous statement came off as being defensive of any parties involved. that was not my intention at all. i do not stand for it at all. it was just alot to take in at the moment and i reacted in way i shouldn’t have. in the future, i will keep myself away from commenting on such topics.

Nah.

This man was caught talking sexually to a 13 year old. “Want me to take off all my clothes and show you my tattoos?” and “Let me give you a proper demonstration” after talking about sexual education classes in school is diabolical. Jettison him from the scene. NOW.

The other situation was nuanced. This one is definitely not. This must have been the kind of stuff he was scared of people finding.
