there’s this girl that i went to school with who i kinda still follow on social media because we live in the same country now, but i had to mute her stories because every time she posts, it’s her humblebragging or dissing other people for bragging about other stuff. a few months ago it was her fighting some of her followers in her stories because they called out her downplaying her pretty wealthy background and she did NOT like that.
her whole schtick is “i speak japanese and english better than the people i’ve seen in my field because I work SO HARD” and “haters are talking about me behind my back”. It’s like she’s fighting demons every day for no reason and posting about it all. This is coming from someone who’s pushing 30, by the way, not a teen.
today’s post was about how she’s sooo good at her field and raking in $$$, while oThEr PeOpLe at the conference were trash and just not as good as she is lol. #girlboss, I guess.
All this rat-race stuff is really typical for people from my culture in general (although I don’t know if everyone else posts about it on a daily basis.) I am so glad I don’t interact with people from my culture anymore. Sometimes I do miss talking to people in that language but every time I do talk to them, I’m reminded of how exhausting it is to be around them.

About Aki, his side project, Axessory, appears to have all the songs in English… back in the heydays of Ameblo, he’d frequently get English questions from fans, and he said he learnt English in school. I can’t tell if it means he has the foundational knowledge from English lessons that an average Japanese student would attend or if he was quite seriously studying it as the subject of interest. I really wish he spoke a bit louder during the in-store. I can’t even remember how his English sounded when he spoke, but it was smooth.
Also, Kouryu, what a cool dude. I keep forgetting how chill he is!

I’m getting around to replacing some low quality rips with some higher quality rips, and boy can I tell the difference! When I say low quality, I mean 128 kbps, and when I say high quality, I mean as high as I can get it! Really aiming for transparency and accuracy more than anything. Would anyone be interested in a post where I talk about what I look out for when I listen and obvious tells that lossy files have in them?

I’ve shown up to enough Razor events (did 4 days in a row…twice omg) he knows who I am by now but he’s been really nice and speaking to me in Japanese no matter how broken mine is
Funny how with his original band it’s new territory, only he knows who I am and now I gotta build rapport with all the other members
Def gonna get an album signed next time they do an instore and look forward to whatever language Aki speaks to me in. I noticed that Kei has been learning Korean too. I don’t know if it stemmed from his crush on Girls Generation he mentioned one instore but that’s cool

Why are people complaining that Amys love for sonic isn’t obsessive anymore. That was one of the most annoying, excessive things about her character. The unrequited love trope is annoying and the whole rouge censorship thing is dumb too. Its bat cleavage, stop being a gooner. You play sonic games for the game, not bat tits. Grow up. “SeGa iS gOiNg wOkE” No, they over-correct when people cry about things until they take them away and now everyone wants that thing back.
