Now “LAST SONG” has become the real last song as a farewell from REITA.
yeah it def is. a lotta people are comparing it to hide …
I don’t know, if anyone’s interested in participating.
Since Sunday at midnight JST there’s a campaign on Twitter.
https://twitter.com/gazette_ww_fans/status/1781360507041333597
Feel free to join or to ignore.
The band decided to hold an FC live at Reita’s birthday (05.27) at Toyosu Pit.
You can find the announcement for it here. (It’s very obvious the translation has been made by an AI but who cares about that right now?)
There’re messages from all the members linked where they explain their decision.
A nice sentiment for sure.
If I understand it right via google translator, they might make it a yearly tradition (?).
It sounded to me like this as well.
I just didn’t know how to phrase anything after seeing this and therefore wrote as little as necessary.
I’m sure translations for the members comments will be around soon (last time’s ones for example by JRN as linked here). Since the official announcement got the AI translation below it should be alright.
Poster for the memorial live:
Ruki posted a tweet with the original picture used for this poster, saying it was a photo they took a while ago and Reita liked it a lot.

This hits rlly hard
I dont know how I feel about it being FC limited. I know I speak from a foreign fan prospective, and Im not sure how many of the Japanese fans are part of the FC. But it just seems like they are only allowing certain fans to celebrate Reita this way. I dont know, maybe this will get me flamed, but just my two cents.
But I do hope everyone who is able to go celebrates Reita and all that he did.
I’m completely at this page.
I’m very much against FC in general. I just came to accept that it’s a very common thing in Japan.
They do so many things just FC limited and I dislike it every time I read about it but still I know it’s common, shrug and move on. I guess it’s so common over there on one hand that they aren’t even aware it’s exclusive at the same time (while they always talk to all their fans in terms of how they word what they say). On the other hand it’s not just limited to Japan but way to many parts of the world that if you pay you get more (and I have a lot more thoughts on this but I don’t think it’s the right place to dig further into that topic).
It’s safe to assume this life would be recorded/released right? I’m sure they know fans outside of the FC would too like to contribute monetarily if not physically.
Not safe to say by any means. They have lot of special lives they don’t film, and seeing as this is FC only with no merch being sold, it has the air of a “private event” between the hard core of their fanbase and themselves.
Never say never but I highly doubt it. Even if it does, it’s a possibility the product would also be heresy only
nah, don’t assume that.
They should be aware of the waves this news has made across the globe. Hopefully it means they’d make the memorial available as a livestream, but also I won’t build my expectations bc japanese artists treat non-jp fans like they’re non existent most of the time.
btw this account translated statements from the members about the memorial. It is crazy that the venue happened to be available on Reita’s birthday.
Edit: oop, this is from Ruki’s statement.
I think it comes down to logistics. In KAI’s statement, he says it’s a miracle the venue was still available
they could not find somewhere bigger in the timeframe, hence core fans first
ugly cries that memorial pic T_T
I think it makes sense that this particular event is FC only. A large percentage of their fans, at least their most devout fans, are HERESY members. In addition they’re holding the live at Toyosu PIT which has a capacity of only 3000 people. Budokan, with a capacity of up to 14.000 people was sold out last year. Considering how many people are going to want to attend a memorial live like this I think just getting a ticket in general is going to be difficult.
They most likely wanted to hold it at a larger venue but PIT was the only one available on that date.
But they also mentioned that this is going to be a yearly tradition on Reita’s birthday so they’ll probably try to secure a larger venue next year so more people can attend. They did acknowledge and appreciate the support from all over the world
I don’t even think Ive seen an interview with Reita speaking. But Gazette and Reita have
always been there, Gazette were there in the beginning when vk/jrock “peaked” 2000-2010ish, and during the years, while not being a hardcore fan, i checked out their releases from time to time. Blinding Hope is a recent one and I really enjoyed it.
There are death reports that hit hard, and this one really really hit hard. Dammit why, he seemed so happy and proud of Gazette and from some recent tweets I can tell that he wants to keep Gazerock alive
I saw a post last week and thought it was a lie… no. Not Reita. Songs are hitting differently. Tomorrow never dies. Last song. Reita. The gazette will be forever as Reita will live in our memories forever. I’m sad after Atsushi and now Reita. I need them live until way after I’m dead. Reita be at peace.
Unfortunately I only found out about what happened to Reita now… Why do my favorite musicians leave this world so early? RIP…
