I hope I am not the only one who hates this version.
it tried to put a few new spins onto the track but the them all end up being just irritating. Like what are the drums in the refrain. The rhythm is similar to what you had in the demo but with the intense weight now on the snare it just doesn’t work anymore.
The mastering made the whole thing sound more apart from each other than coming together.
That keytar solo near the end is pretty tasty, and I still love the goofy vocal melodies in this song. A nice little upgrade for the song.

But the song… Man, I don’t know. I love demo Valentina, so maybe it will take some time to get used to the official release. I don’t hate it, but I think they overcooked it a little. There is too much stuff, I don’t know. Need some time and I’ll update my thoughts

The most inoffensive re-recording of theirs, and I’m glad for that. Haven’t listened to Valentina in a while, so initially I was thinking “huh, with all the added trinkets Valentina only got more subtle”… but nah, it was always this calm & subtle compared to the more bombastique sisters… But yeah, definitely preferring this “re-recording” over how they treated other doll demos.

BUT WHY THE FUCK IS THIS MV SO GORGEOUS!? Highly artistic shots before song even starts, then we get these appealing colours, DANCERS, vogue-esque shots, minimal usage of eye-gouging VFXs… yeah, defintely one of their best MVs.

I have to say that the song wasn’t the best. After I heard the chorus I turned it off, not catchy at all and even a bit irritating. To be completely honest, do you guys really like that chorus?
Not a good start for me personally with this new upcoming release(s?).

You’re in luck then because this song is probably the least meaningful track you could have picked for that statement. It’s an almost four year old demo and the next release is a best-of… so there’s literally like 0% correlation.

I’m not that familiar with this song, so it’s more-or-less new to me.
Its style doesn’t do anything for me at all. They’ve done a few of these throwback/'80s-inspired/kawaii-kei songs and imho they’re all interchangeable. Catchy in the moment but ultimately forgettable shovelware.
The biggest issue for me is it’s so tediously formulaic. There are no structural surprises. The entire track can be predicted before even hitting ‘play’. I personally find the pop structure insufferable at best and the chorus is an annoying earworm. The verses are okay.
Perhaps it could be saved by reassembling the sections, re-writing the chorus completely, and adding a new counter-melodic break or coda.
As it stands, the song just exists.
