Does anyone know if there are fan made playlists anywhere for each members’ live?
I used to not like his vocals back then. I thought it seemed weird for him to sound like he was inhaling.
But now, I kinda miss those vocals. I feel those vocals allow for aoi’s vocals to have a nice contrast. Defective Tragedy is a good example. I also feel like it fits the song, like someone taking their last breath as they cancel their life subscription.
I do them for myself on apple music but here they are:
Excluding the songs that are not up for streaming, at least in my country. You can also import the lists to spotify or yt music, just google playlist importer.
Also not sure about the romanization but whatever.
Is this their last member produce? Hope to see their new album release soon as promised
It is.
Regarding the album, there hasn’t been any news yet, even though people apparently had expected some at the live.
The website changed a bit though.
There was the graphic with the dates for the member produced lives until a bit after this last one had ended and since then there’s something new that’s not giving away anything.
Just looked into their website. They removed the members produce and uploaded their new release thumbnail. No new info and just fuel anticipation. Hope it will be a good release
Funny thing is, on my phone that thing I see as a strange graphic from the Macbook even moves, even though that doesn’t give away anything more.
4 posts were split to a new topic: Aoi has left the GazettE
A post was merged into an existing topic: the GazettE has removed Aoi from the band
Honestly with what the last album was I don’t have too much hope in this group altogether. They better just all do solo projects. Or at least let also the other members compose again
My guess for that previous album is, that they had to release it, like in it’s part of their job and they had to deliver even though it would have needed more time (and not just one composer). That’s one of the reasons why I don’t care, if it takes them longer now.
I think MASS was a product of the pandemic. Each member recorded their parts at home and the production was done like that throughout. I think that sort of explains it. They said it was a mutual decision to use Rukis material, and like someone else said, there’s probably contractual obligations involved.
Actually why do some think that MASS was bad? It is just less intense and more emotional. MASS is the only album that I enjoy as a whole.
I love MASS, but all albums after toxic have had some sort of “ugh they changed”-BS from fans. I always find myself defending their later releases cuz everyone always has some sort of problem with them.
I said it before and I say it again, MASS were essentially Ninth 2.0 with superior production and inferior songwriting. My biggest gripe with the album is that the songs didn’t flow as nicely as Ninth, like compare the way the first three tracks transition into each other from Ninth and MASS. Don’t get me wrong MASS do have some stand-out tracks, like BLINDING HOPE, DAKU, MOMENT, and LAST SONG, but for me at least, Ninth were litterally unskippable except UNFINISHED, MASS on the other hand had some of the weakest heavy tracks in the bands history. Barbarian has some good ideas (particularly in the final few minutes) but other song that not mentioned here are unremarkable.
MASS did give off a GazettE-buffet type feeling to me, and wasn’t as put together as NINTH or DOGMA (both incredible albums imho), but it was still a fun album to listen to.
I feel that the consensus around the community is that The Gazette cannot work as a three piece and while I can’t say I agree i can see where it’s coming from.
The elephant in the room was Ruki’s freedom as a frontman, I’ve ever only see him playing instrument on the live version of Cassis and it was a ballad song, while picturing RUKI being a capable instrument playing frontman like James Hetfield or Matt Heafy would be very interesting to see, it’ll be a while for him to master that kind of ability. While Aoi was still in the band I can see either one of the guitarist to pick up the bass (My bet would be Uruha) but now? Idk anymore.
I don’t know how far Ruki’s skills go.
I remember, a while after Aoi moved on to using a 7 strings guitar Ruki posted a tweet that he got himself made two 7 strings guitars. Not just one but two right away. How well-versed he is using them I don’t know, I guess having at least one also is for composition purposes.
If I’m not mistaken they said there wouldn’t be neither a full replacement nor a support bassist. If they stick to this, well, I don’t have an opinion on whether this is a good idea or not.
I can see someone else replace Aoi (fully or as a support).
Losing Reita the way things happened is something different from how heated emotions seemed to be about Aoi that’s why I weren’t surprised, if that were four people on stage again but not five.
