What other forum boards (or social medias) do you use?

Non-Jrock related topic! Where else does everyone exist on the internet?

For me, of popular social medias I used instagram and twitter. I feel slightly obligated to be on instagram bc all my friends are on it.

For forums/other websites I use neocities and blogger. Neocities is a geocities relaunch, for those who want to host their own website. If it counts, I am constantly on stack overflow to help me with questions when I study.

On the older side, but worth a browse if you’re interested in following others:

The classic verdicts for me too. Twitter and Instagram. I barely use Instagram these days unless it’s for some doom scrolling.

For forum boards, I have accounts on at least two different ones regarding history stuff, I am not really active there though. One of them the has reduced the search bar to members only (and even for that the members had to fight for), so that explains why I have an account.

i was thinking about making a letterboxd topic but i guess i’ll just beg for more mutuals here

I have a Twitter simply for access, but never post or really even use it. I have Instagram too but that’s too IRL Missa to freely share.

I was wondering already if we count anything as Goodreads or Storygraph too

I mean it’s not classic social media sites, but you can follow each other and keep track of stuff, similar to Lastfm in a way I guess

I use Facebook everyday… But who doesn’t???

And I somehow accumulated four Instagram accounts, one of which is for my car  But I don’t use all but one account regularly since my peers are on Insta. Other than that, I’m not really active on the internet.

Twitter, IG, Facebook but only to consume content not sharing anything. Gonna send super edgy but Letterboxd ( if we can count this one )

edit: literally didn’t read all the comments and was gonna to share mine until I saw yours lol

sharing mine heeere

:sparkles:

To be honest, I thought facebook is pretty much dead?

I still have an account, but don’t use it anymore and also don’t know anyone who is still active there. I assume lots of people in my age range also did not deactivate their accounts, but I doubt many teenager or young adults open up new accounts.

Might be a regional thing, though - I’m from Germany.

I think Facebook is not really used much for broader stuff like pop culture discussion, news, etc. today, but it is still alive for more local/community-based features. A lot of important information is shared through Facebook groups in my city, like listings for places available to rent, discussion of stuff going on in my condo building, a group where people in my neighbourhood post things they’re giving away for free, etc. I’m sure a lot of younger people don’t bother making one these days, but it definitely still gets a good amount of use for certain things here.

Isn’t Facebook a bit of Boomer generation place to be, or something like that.

Instagram for content creation and consumption, YouTube for content consumption. Facebook only for groups related to my community and marketplace.

Mutuals I had on FB started getting real weird in 2020 so I stopped using it to protect my peace and never looked back.

I’m active on Reddit and a lurker only on Twitter to follow bands.
