What video games are you playing?

Waiting for my copy to arrive! The demo got my attention.

I hope you like Devil May Cry and/or Game of Thrones! The combat is really winning me over now that it’s opening up a bit. We’ll see if the story sticks the landing.

I like the former but never seen Game of Thrones. The combat in the demo felt really good and I can’t wait to start trying out the other Eikons. Tbh, I couldn’t get through FF7R but there’s something with FFXVI that’s just clicking with me.

About 15 hours into FF XVI. It’s been quite good so far. Combat is fun especially once you get more abilities. The graphics are both phenomenal and very average. The quality between normal NPC interactions and scenes contrast so much with the actual cutscenes. Those Eikon moments especially look stellar. It blows my mind that they’re real time.

Also, I ain’t no simp, but Jill

I’m also about 15-20 hours into FFXVI. I’m split on it, though I definitely like it more than I don’t.

The characters, story, acting, music, graphics and combat are awesome. But…I’m finding it a bit too easy, the RPG customizations unnecessary and frustrated with some of the more linear elements (like not being able to go into buildings, etc.)

Overall, it’s good and I’m enjoying my time with it.

I am desperately trying to catch up with Baldur’s Gate 1 and 2. I am an avid D&D and RPG fan but I never really got super deep into the classics.

Thinking of getting myself a Nintendo Switch for my birthday, too.

Currently playing Final Fantasy IX on Switch and completing collectibles in Shadow of the Tomb Raider on PS4.

Me and my little pony going to fight the dwarf boss in Elden Ring (NG+5).

Just Started Final Fantasy Vii on Nintendo Switch. Before that, I completed Bayonetta 2 and starting on 3. I pretty much play Fortnite the most, though. :slightly_smiling_face:

Getting ready for November~

Been replaying FFIV whenever im on the train, about to finish, but it just feels like a crappy version of Phantasy Star IV.

Trying out the Foam Stars beta. Mechanically it’s pretty fun, but I suck.

I didn’t really care for Final Fantasy XVI by the end of it in terms of its pacing, narrative, characters, themes, etc… But I started NG+ today and the game is much better when you just blow by every cutscene and sidequest at the higher difficulty/combat level. Got through a good chunk in a few hours today.

Decided to play Mass Effect 3 on my PS3 again recently, but I’m doing a new game/character from scratch without carrying over data from the previous games.

It’s, so far, feeling emptier without some of my buddies from the old crew around, but I felt like shooting stuff after watching somebody with no combat area awareness play the RE4 remake and get attacked from behind repeatedly.

Unfortunately, mainly Overwatch 2, Genshin Impact, and Honkai Star Rail. I wanna play FFVII soon and I wanna emulate the Castlevania games but I’m too busy to start them most of the time

I heard a lot of same thoughts on FF XVI’s endgame from other people. I just finished the Drake’s Breath sequence but I’m still really liking the game. I’m anxious to get to the end to see what I think of it because it seems so polarizing.

Yeah the problem is that it just keeps going, on a very linear path of lessening narrative quality IMO. Looking forward to seeing your thoughts when you finish, if you get there lol. Some people are liking it, and that’s great!
