Where in The World is Yoshiki?

“Yoshiki’s hands are ALLERGIC to poor people’s hands!!”

thank you for understanding this orz… a true fan I see…

Yoshiki has become kind of a punching bag for being a “carried away VK boomer”.
Do you all agree he deserves this or are some taking it too far?

One part of me can understand all his attempts or projects to earn money, with his history. I actually think many people would do the same. Or maybe I’m wrong.

I am asking from a neutral standpoint, just curious :face_with_monocle:

I honestly respect that he has cash to throw on all the fanfare (what are those dining events? is he serving leftovers from his $100,000 per night grandé yoshiki private invitation-only meet-and-greet eXperiénce, reheated by his personal chef who does catering for his infamous Paris Studio?) but having a release date on the X Japan album would probably keep most of the snark away.

1000% deserved.
Dude has taken the concept of “selling out” to whole new levels. Literally no dignity whatsoever. The extent to which he’s been treating everyone who trusted him like shit for literally decades (from his fans through studio engineers (look for the Dokk Knight interview by the X-Japan podcast from a few years ago…) to the young Violet UK vocalists who trusted him and wasted years for absolutely nothing, and, of course, X-Japan band members) is sickening. More recently, using the death of his mother to promote his latest “classical” tour. Egomania has made this man lose contact with reality and decency.

People getting sputteringly mad over rich old rockman doing rich old rockman things is a part of the Y Superstar Experience at this point. It’s pretty funny on some level, but does he deserve it? No, because I think it’s a dumb thing to get mad about anyway. Most people who are upset with Yoshiki probably wouldn’t even like the X album if he ever released it, given his recent work.

if ya get the vision you get it, and if not I’m sorry

I wonder if adding miyavi to the xjapan lineup could produce a more interesting record than not releasing anything for a lifetime

bonus points for adding him as a vocalist

Isnt that something the celebrities kind of “buy”? or thats just for the walk of fame?

You can buy to get to do it?
Then he did it for sure, no way the american organisation would contact him and ask him to do it.

XJapan is famous and all that its undeniable, but its still pretty niche for the masses.

At least in the walk of fame they can lobby to get the nomination (from fans to ur company)… and then have to pay like 75 k for the star itself and the installation. But not sure if for the hands/footprints works the same way.

Hand can finally go home…

you’ll know if he truly bought it when the venue gets renamed as Yoshiki Curry Chips theatre from whatever (racist!!!) current name it has!

I just got an ad to go see this. I didn’t know they did feet??? Seems odd.
Either way, I’m just waiting until I one day run into Yoshiki at the grocery store. That’s how I see most celebrities.

Why are y’all hating on Yoshiki for not wanting his hand that he uses to perform that’s very delicate due to old age and illness grabbed and broken😭
Grasping at straws

If he knew about this it’d definitely be a hit to his ego. YOSHIKI isn’t on the Apple Music Classical app (apparently there’s an app now just for classical music), but Nobuo Uematsu, Joe Hisaishi, and Ryuichi Sakamoto are :joy:
